Mustang District Roundtable

July 10, 2014 - Potluck Dinner

The July 10th Roundtable will be a potluck dinner at the usual place, MDUMC in the Wesley Hall at 7:00 pm. The purpose of Roundtable is to help unit leaders plan and carry out their own program. Roundtable is a form of supplemental training for volunteers. The objective of Roundtable is to give leaders program ideas, information on events and training opportunities, and an opportunity to share experiences and enjoy fun and fellowship with other Scouting leaders. As a result of the Roundtable experience, unit leaders will be inspired, motivated, informed, and able to provide a stronger program for their Scouts.

Cub Scout Fall Recruiting

August 14, 2014

The fall recruiting campaign focuses on recruiting new families to the fun and adventures of Cub Scouting. Rally Season is around the corner. Training for the 2014 Fall Recruiting season will take place during the Roundtable on August 14 at 7:00 PM. This is the time when applications, yard signs and other materials will be handed out also. Units that are not represented make other volunteers work harder to get materials and training to your unit.

Friends of Scouting has also purchased two Boy Scout recruiting yard signs for each troop. Come on August 14 to get them.

This one hour training will cover everything a pack needs to recruit many boys and parents into their unit, engage them and keep them.

At this August 14 training, prizes will be awarded to the unit that has:

  1. The most first-time training attendees.
  2. The most attendees overall.
  3. The largest percentage of registered leaders in attendance at the training.
