Distinguished Citizen Award Dinner

October 11, 2017

Celebrating Richard A. Eichler

Proceeds from the Distinguished Citizen Award Dinner helps provide Scouting to approximately 50,000 youth in Southeast Texas. Over 10,000 of these youth members live in at-risk communities and are economically challenged.

The Distinguished Citizen Award is presented to honor an individual for making a difference in the greater Houston area. The 2017 Distinguished Citizen Award is being presented to Richard A. Eichler.  A reception and dinner will be held at the Hilton-Americas Houston that evening.

For over 100 years, the Sam Houston Area Council, Boy Scouts of America has provided young people with character-development programs based on values found in the Scout Oath: duty to God, duty to country, duty to others, and duty to self.
