Equipment Pick-up and Drop-off
Equipment may be picked up, by appointment only, Before the event, from the Cockrell Service Center, Program Services.
Equipment needs to be returned after the event to the Cockrell Service Center, Program Services.
BB gun equipment provided will be based on the number of shooters. One BB gun box contains:
- 10 BB guns (replacement cost is $50 per gun)
- 1 gun cleaning kit (replacement cost is $15)
- 12 goggles in a shoe rack (replacement cost is $5 per goggle and $10 per rack)
- 1 red flag (replacement cost is $10)
- Instruction rules
- Caution signs (replacement cost is $5 per sign)
Cub Scout Archery
Cub Scout archery equipment provided will be based on the number of shooters on the range. One archery box contains:
- 8 Right-handed bows: 48" and 54" (replacement cost is $100 per bow)
- 2 Left-handed bows: 48" and 54" (replacement cost is $100 per bow)
- 1 Bow stringer (replacement cost is $8)
- 10 Finger tabs in a bag (replacement cost is $2 per tab and $10 per bag)
- 10 Arm guards in a bag (replacement cost is $10 per guard and $10 per bag)
- 50 Arrows (replacement cost is $5 per arrow)
- 1 Red flag (replacement cost is $10)
- Instruction / rules
- Caution signs (replacement cost is $5 per sign)
Archery for Scouts in Troops, Crews and Ships
Archery equipment provided will include the following based on the number of stations on the range:
- 8 Right-handed bows: 62" and 66" (replacement cost is $100 per bow)
- 2 Left-handed bows: 62" and 66" (replacement cost is $100 per bow)
- 1 Bow stringer (replacement cost is $8)
- 10 Finger tabs in a bag (replacement cost is $2 per tab and $10 per bag)
- 10 Arm guards in a bag (replacement cost is $10 per guard and $10 per bag)
- 10 Arrows (replacement cost is $5 per arrow)
- 1 Red flag (replacement cost is $10)
- Caution signs (replacement cost is $5 per sign)
Wrist Rockets and Tomahawks
Range Supervision
A certified range master is to directly supervise all live fire on the range See the National Shooting Sports manual for more information. In addition, BSA has range supervision minimum requirements:
- BB Gun: One certified BB gun range master per eight shooters.
- Cub Scout Archery: One certified archery range master per eight shooters.
- Boy Scout Archery: One certified archery range master and USAA basic archery instructor. A BSA national camping school trained shooting sports director
- Wrist Rockets: One certified range master per range plus one adult per shooter.

Quartermaster Equipment
Request additional equipment such as archery targets (replacement cost is $30 each), tomahawk targets, barricade fencing, quivers (small parking cones), t-posts and t-post drivers through the event chair.
Quartermaster equipment is ordered for the entire event by the event chair at www.shac.org/request-qm-equipment.
