Scouting teaches self-reliance, strength of purpose and conviction of character. These are the values that have guided the Sam Houston Area Council.
The Sam Houston Area Council is preparing to not only maintain its current level of programming and services, but also, to take a giant leap forward with our facilities and service to youth. With proper planning and a team consisting of committed volunteers, a resourceful board of directors, and a professional staff striving for excellence, the Sam Houston Area Council will not only prevail in achieving our goals and objectives; but will exceed them! This will require us to make efficient use of our personnel and financial and physical resources but we feel confident in our ability to do this.
