Scouts from 16 counties unite in one place to showcase their Scouting skills at Scout Fair. Scouts enjoy visiting the midway with over 75 experts representing merit badges, interacting with participating booths from our community partners and picking up free offers. In addition, Scouts and their entire family enjoy visiting hundreds of booths set up by Scouting units with fun activities and crafts, learning Scout skills, meeting new friends and tasting the delicious outdoor cooking. This event is open to the public and is free (area parking fees apply). Scout Fair video.
Businesses and organizations from around the state host a variety of booths at Scout Fair. Scouting units should register to host a booth on the Leader Page.

Type of Exhibits
Merit Badge Midway is the exciting educational component of Scout Fair designed to introduce Scouts to a variety of industries. Businesses and organizations from around the state share hands-on activities representing various merit badges that inspire Scouts to earn advancements, find new hobbies and maybe even future careers. Introduce your expertise to Scouts, leaders and parents. Bring special offers to drive traffic to your business or organization. The midway attracts more than 22,000 Scouts, leaders and families and is being held at Minute Maid Park. View requirements for merit badges. Midway support provided by Memorial Hermann.
The Conservation Corner has exhibitors from a variety of local, state, and federal agencies display information and hands-on activities related to environmental issues, animal science, and conservation. Scouts not only learn about conservation but also have the chance to interact with exhibits featuring live reptiles, insects and other critters. Conservation Corner helps Scouts learn how to live in the outdoors and also how to preserve it for future generations. The Conservation Corner has been a staple at Scout Fair for years and will join together with the Midway to represent merit badges relating to the World Conservation Award and the William T. Hornaday Award.
Scout Fair Book Sales are a way for units to raise money. Coupon Books cost $10 and provide hundreds of dollars in savings. Units earn 30% commission on each Coupon Book sold. If your business or organization is interested in having a coupon included in the book, contact Shane Burks.
