Rechartering Forms and Documents
On this page are links to all of the forms that may be needed to recharter a unit and to the informational documents that are provided in the recharter packet and additional resources that are provided online.
The following printed items are included in your recharter packet:
Your Internet Rechartering access code is printed on a label attached to upper right hand corner of this document. The document contains pointers to useful information such as the Council website, deadlines, and rechartering using the Internet, along with an overview of the recharter process for the first time recharter processors, and detailed instructions and checklist. Read this early, if not first!
3. Unit Roster:
This roster is your current membership as of the date at the top left of the printout. Because Sam Houston Area Council requires the use of Internet Rechartering for all recharters, this is a regular unit roster. It cannot be turned in to recharter the unit. You may obtain a more current roster to prepare for rechartering by using your unit’s Internet Advancement account.
This form is used to calculate the Council accident insurance fee. It is turned in with the recharter.
Sam Houston Area Council will require all units to recharter in December 2013. Units that already recharter in December (roughly half our units) will be ready to go after completing their regular recharter. All other units will recharter for the number of months required to make this charter renewal expire in December 2013. For instance, current January recharters will recharter for 11 months this time only so that the new charter expires next December. The form recalculates the "Total Fees Submitted" from the Internet Rechartering printout using the correct number of months to change the next charter renewal date.
To reduce wasted paper and to reduce the complexity of the recharter packet, the following resources are available online in section.
6. Your Pack/Troop/Crew:
