Fun with Son Fun with Son welcomed over 700 newly registered Tiger, Wolf, Bear, and Webelos Scouts and their adult partner and families at Camp Strake in Conroe and Bovay Scout Ranch near Navasota from October 19-21, 2012. Scouts enjoyed BB guns, archery, sling shots, crafts, sports, games, campfire, and more. With all the abundant smiles visible, the Scouts and their families had a terrific time. Thanks to the wonderful staff for helping these Scouts have a spectacular first camping experience. Fun With Son is a one night first time camping experience held annually the third weekend in October and is specifically designed for new Cub and Webelos Scouts, but all are welcome. Registration will begin in August, 2013 for Fall 2013 Fun With Son event.. Staff registration |
Bring: tent, sleeping bag, pillow, tarp/ground cloth for under tent, water bottle, insect repellent, flashlight with fresh batteries, rain gear, closed toed shoes (tennis shoes), toiletries, appropriate clothes for weather, extra clothes, personal medication, one medical form per person.
Optional: camp chair, cot or sleeping mattress, camera, Scout uniform, battery operated lantern, wet wipes, sunscreen, hat, snacks (do not leave in tent), glow sticks
