After my first ride-along with a deputy responding to actual calls, I knew I wanted to be a police officer. The training I received in Exploring was similar to the training I later received in the police academy. I have been employed in law enforcement with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office since 2012 and I love it. I am currently working with the Harris County Joint Task Force doing proactive policing.
