Camp Strake is nestled in the Piney Woods of East Texas just 40 miles north of Houston and just south of Conroe in Montgomery County on I-45. This property has many sections and is used for multiple purposes. It provides for Cub Scout weekend camping at Janis and Goerge Fleming Cub World, Boy Scout and Venturing weekend camping activities at Deer Lake and Grand Lake. Training for Scout leaders and outside groups at Hart Kuester Lodge, Seton Training Site and the Conference Center. This is a year-round camp which accomodates all camping seasons. MORE
El Rancho Cima is located on the Devil's Backbone in the Texas Hill Country near Wimberley, Texas. It is home for two very uniques camps: Cockrell River Camp, Walter Scout Camp at Horseshoe Bend and an additional section called Ironwheel Mesa. This facility provides summer camp and weekend camping for Boy Scout Troops and Venture Crews. Located in one of the most naturally beautiful areas of Bandera, TX, the 965 acre Hamman Scout Camp, a gift from the Hamman Foundation in 1990, is a prime site to plan a Hill Country campout. This property offers older Boy Scout Troops and Venturing Crews an excellent backpacking adventure. Hamman Scout Camp is a primitive rustic location providing no amenities to unites utilizing this area. Units will need to bring in all supplies for their activities including water. Ranger or caretaker support is not available at this camp. MORE
