Camping & Activities
As a Scout, there is a host of activities to choose: camping with the family, a fishing trip, a day trip, rappelling from the tallest climbing tower in Texas, sailing at a High Adventure base, a week of summer or winter camp. You'll have fun, make new friends and enjoy memories that last a lifetime.
This section of the website will give you information about all of the Sam Houston Area Council's camps (and what forms you need to fill out to use them), information about Council camping programs for Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Venturers, Scouting's High Adventure camping programs, special Council programs and activities and an introduction to Scouting's outdoor honor society, the Order of the Arrow.
