Akela's Trail
November 6, 2010
Location to Be Announced
Akela's Trail is a Cub Scout leader's learning extravaganza - a big fun-filled experience where Cub Scout leaders and parents can increase their knowledge, improve their skills, and gain enthusiastic attitudes about Cub Scouting. Offered only once per year, you get to choose from a wide variety of activity and learning sessions. Walk away with useful resources and tons of ideas!
The theme for 2010 Akela's Trail, chaired by
Jack Drapela &
Mary Farley, is
"Following Akela's Trail into the Next Century." Make plans now to join them in exploring the path for putting fun and adventure in your den and pack program.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND? There is something for everyone! From the Scouter or parent in the first year of Cub Scout leadership to the Scouter with many years of experience, Akela's Trail has something for YOU!
HOW DO I REGISTER? The
course catalog, listing all the planned courses, may be downloaded now for you to preview classes. Online registration is anticipated to be available in early September.
A printable registration form will also be available to use in conjunction with online registration. You may pay your registration fee in-person at the Cockrell Scout Center, then use a council computer to enter your registration information from the form. Have one person collect forms for the entire pack and enter in a single trip!
EXPERIENCE THE MIDWAY. Discover the opportunities available for Cub Scout meetings and outings. Learn about council activities to support your program. Bring your camera to help you remember all of the good ideas that you see!
WHAT ABOUT LUNCH? Please consider supporting the school by purchasing a lunch as part of their fundraising efforts -- or you may bring your own lunch. Youth courses include lunch in the registration fee, as does BALOO (foil dinner).
CAN I BRING MY CHILDREN? This is an ADULT event; there are NO facilities for childcare. Only Webelos Scouts enrolled in BAT Training or Boy Scouts involved in Den Chief Training should attend.
