The Golden Arrow district serves the following school district:
- Houston ISD - Central, West, West Central and Southwest
Last year, Golden Arrow served more than 5861 youth with the help of 1579 volunteers.
The Golden Arrow District serves the Southwest portion of Houston, from Montrose Blvd to Belt Way 8 (East & West) and from Memorial Drive to Hwy 90 (North & South).
The District has a very strong outreach program call the Gulfton Project which works with youths in "at-risk" area of town. At the end of last year the program had served over 1,900 youth.
The Golden Arrow District also conducts two Merit Badge Fairs each year. Each event draws more than 400 Scouts, earning thousands of Merit Badges. There Merit Badge Fairs are just one of the many outstanding Boy Scout events provided by the district.
The District also conductsthe Council's Pinewood Derby race at the Council's Scout Fiar each Spring and has developed new pinewood derby events.
Golden Arrow District was one of only four traditional districts to earn the National Qualtiy District Award in 2003!
