Goals of the Trainer Course
1. To strive for consistent, quality training for all Leave No Trace Trainer Course participants.
2. To provide an easily implemented training structure that encourages training efforts.
3. To identify the inherent risks in outdoor activities.

Leave No Trace Trainer Course:     Hamman Scout Camp, Bandera, Texas
                                                            El Rancho Cima, Fischer, Texas

When: Friday (12 Noon) -Sunday
Spring Group	April 11-13, 2008 @ Hamman Scout Camp
Fall Group	October 10-12, 2008 @ El Rancho Cima

Who: Course is open to all persons age 18 & older with backpacking experience.

Description: This course will provide participants with hands on experience in teaching Leave No Trace skills and ethics. The Trainer course is a vital component of the National Leave No Trace program. The participants will receive Leave No Trace training in a two-day format that includes a backpacking overnight. The Trainer Course will assist the participants in learning more about the seven principles of Leave No Trace and techniques for teaching these low impact skills to others. Each participant will teach one Leave No Trace principle at the Trainer Course. Upon successful completion of the Leave No Trace Trainer course each participant will become a Leave No Trace Trainer.

Those who complete the course are equipped to:
• Understand, demonstrate, and teach minimum impact techniques to friends, family, their sponsoring organization, and other community groups.
• Facilitate Awareness Workshops.
• Lead a discussion on outdoor ethics and help others explore their own personal outdoor ethic.

Cost: $ 60 per person. Max Limit of 10 Participants. Participants must provide their own food and camping equipment.
