2008 Sam Houston Area Council Camp Directors
Looking for Qualified Camp Staffs for Cockrell River Camp, Horseshoe Bend, Hamman Scout Camp,
and Bovay Scout Ranch.

The Sam Houston Area Council has a great challenge each year to provide Scouts and Scouter who attend our camps with a great camping experience. The Sam Houston Area Council is looking for dedicated individuals to serve Scouting by being members of the Sam Houston Area Council Camp Staffs.

The 2008 Camp Directors, Shane Burks, Cockrell River Camp, Brett Lee, Horseshoe Bend, Steve Stolzer, Hamman Scout Camp, and Randy Fowler, Bovay Scout Ranch  are in the process of establishing administrative, service and program teams for the 2008 camping season.

If you are a Scout leader and have prospective Scouts, age 16 and older that have the "right-stuff" to serve, please forward this recruiting message to them. If you are a prospective employee secure and download your 2008 Seasonal Camp Staff Application (here) or if you will be 15 years of age by 6/1/2008, you may secure and download your Jr. Staff Application (here).

Camp Staff interviews for the summer camping season will be held at the Cockrell Service Center on Saturday, Jan. 12, and 19, and at Camp Strake on February 23. Call Camping Services at 713.756.3303 or email camping@shac.org to schedule your interview.
