This 2,288 acre property is located 2 miles south of Conroe on Interstate 45 in the Texas Piney Woods. Grand Lake has 21 troop sites.  Camp Strake also has an Outdoor Training Center, Cub World, Project C.O.P.E. (ropes course), Camporee Area and Conference Center. Because of its close proximity to the Metropolitan area, Camp Strake is the world's most used Scout facility.

The address for Camp Strake is 401 South Loop 336 West, Conroe, TX 77304

Going North on I-45 and after crossing the San Jacinto, take the "Camp Strake Road" exit. Continue North to the stop sign, turn left under the freeway, and left again onto the southbound feeder. The Camp Strake entrance is about 200 yards South on the right.
